you have a list of stocks that move for a "reason" and those that don't?

Stock price moves randomly but that randomness is bounded by expectations (both short and long term). Money flow is a much greater measure of fundamental conviction then price is (because price goes all over Hell while it makes its way to its destination) but even money flow only tells you what people believe is happening in the company, not what really is happening. The reason money flow works better than price is because it measures how much people are willing to pay up at any price level, where they are willing to put their money. AOL has been in a long term distribution for over a year and has only just started to flatten out.
