This thread is all about opinions. I felt I made it clear when I opened with "my guess" that I was stating an opinion. It has been a couple of years since I was at Intel, and close enough to observe the sample policy, but based on what I see, my "opinion" appears to be reasonable. I wasn't taking any stand on the stability of AMD product, but if they are actually limited in volume of samples it would make sense that margins on the sample might limit over clocking on some sample. This does not mean the part is unstable, but it might lead some to believe that the new speed may yield low at this time... I for one believe this is the case right now.
