Petz, not a bad idea. Usually the people who buy high-end systems will hold out a couple of months to get a much better performing system if they know it's coming.

Why not give reviewers some 2.5GHz Hammer samples to test out?

I think it is too early for that, even if such samples really exist. There was a news story that AMD will be doing a presentation at Microprocessor Forum with some performance results.

Also, there will be a Intel Developers conference, and AMD may want to start some trouble there as well. <g>

I dunno. Announcing a niche product like MP is a pretty weak response, don't you think? Why not give reviewers some 2.5GHz Hammer samples to test out? They would make the P4 2.8 look like a Celeron.

Well, I guess I'm trying to restrict my predictions to those that have a non-zero probability.
