I have run into that with etrade only once.....but it was costly. Tried to buy PNSA last year at 11 before the split hit the dl because I saw a couple buys coming through. Etrade didn't recognize the symbol. By the time I got through to a rep it was over 30. It still pisses me off whenever I think about it. Thanks for reminding me.

Interesting that schwab's system doesn't recognize a stock they make a market in.
