The right to free speech is no different than any other right. It is absolute and protects us from abuses from authority as well as permits the excercise of free will in our persuit of life, liberty, and happiness. Also, like other rights it comes with a social contract with society. One that obligates us legally to use our right to free speech as responsible citizens of society. We have no right to abuse others with speech and this should never be assumed as a protected form of free speech. I would like to see additional speech laws added to our current supply. Abusing another by speech can cause destruction just as much as assault with a deadly weapon. Verbal assault should be actionable. IMO.
