If W had seen what had been cut, in comparison to what burned, he wouldn't be so hasty....it shows it's just an industry come on to get more timber and less conservation.
The Oregonians are horrible in their clear cutting of their own state. In Washington it's just as bad only they have the smarts, or decency to hide the clear cutting by leaving fake stands of trees next to the highway so it's no so evident.

Looks like chain saw Tom Daschle made his proposal to the clear forest floors of SD in a very untimely manner. It's too late. Such a hypocrite.
