They are/have been an abusive monopoly. That doesn't necessarily mean they'll be able to continue being one in the future. Linux and the courts are both on their trail.

How do they make money on the Solaris version of IE?

So, yes I do have it both ways.

Monopolies are not illegal. I have never said that MSFT is an illegal monopoly. I believe some of their actions have been immoral, unethical and illegal ... and should be punished. The "punishment" I prefer is ... nobody buying their operating system and porting Office to Linux.
