JLA and Laz could have arranged to just ban him. They didn't. They sought the group's consensus, didn't get it, and let TP remain in the house. It seems like a strange house. What strange impulse runs under the surface that would cause this to be such a concern of the thread. You’re right, he can be unilaterally banned regardless of the vote. The question is what does this "controlled" environment offer to other posters? Is it the chance to be brought up for a community discussion of your worth as a poster? How attractive is that for new posters to the thread?
