Sage-EC was at the conference, just had nothing to show. I meant they didn't spare the resources to set up a demonstration. If they don't need more funding from NREL what's to gain by spending the time setting up a demo? No they crossed it this year with mass production of SPD film. But by your account it was the demo pieces that wowed the crowd, demo pieces that could have and probably did exist ten years ago. This was a conference about technology, not production issues (Harary's segment notwithstanding). SPD is cheaper, more durable and works better. Which, even if true, does not equate to "acceptable" on any of those counts.
