Ah.

We have what's supposed to be an excellent Mexican restaurant here on the island. (Being a tourist destination, restaurants are one thing we have way too many of.)

Couldn't prove it by me, though, since I've never eaten there and never will, not liking Mexican food.

Or Chinese (so I don't go to our purportedly excellent Chinese restaurant, either.)

I do like Middle Eastern, but our Middle Eastern restaurant is too expensive for my tastes. My father lived in an area in Manhatten that had several very good community Middle Eastern restaurants -- the kind that cater to the same crowd night after night -- and they were winderful. But that's about the only non-English/American food I like.
