They are already doing this with a saudi boycott of coca cola. That prompted an Iranian firm to introduce their own cola. Now the rest of the muslim world doesn't need to have anything as strong as a boycott, they have their choice of buying the Iranian cola - a choice they never had before.

And this business of fear of the US being a good thing is ludicrous. Do Americans really think their military is that powerful? Their is no fear, just a lack of respect. War on terrorism needed to happen and it was a brave move on Bush's part. If he could have kept his mouth shut about "crusades", his Christian "God" and the issues of palestine and accusations of an axis of evil then the rest of the world might have supported him. Now the US is seen by almost everyone in the world as being unreasonable in their dealings with the muslim world.

The US supports afghanistan where they are still devoutly muslim and the country is being run by ex warlords and other assorted murderers. But in Iran where a real effort has been made to get rid of the radicals and to lessen the influence of Islam, they get labelled as "evil". What are tens of millions of non-evil Iranians to think when they hear bush calling them "evil"? Especially considering how many Iranian sons, brothers and fathers died during US assisted chemical weapons attacks from Saddam. Then bush goes on TV and makes the same "God willing" disclaimers that Bin Laden himself uses. If Bush was a real Christian, then he would turn the other cheek after WTC and let them come and get the Empire State Building while Bush says "forgive them father for they know not what they do".
