stockcharts.com[r,a]daclyyay[d20000201,20020821][pb50!b200!f][vc60][ill14!la12,26,9][J6581161,Y]&pref=G i listened to market analyst gail dudack yesterday morning... she said the market is currently in the "twilight zone" if you look at your chart you will see that the spx has broken through the 50 dma which has always sparked a selloff each time it hit that resistance level...so your rounding top scenario makes sense to me...with the 200 dma being THE test.

Yes, I can. Almost as if it was yesterday! Not that my memory is that great-it really is quite poor in fact. But you know how you can remember certain incidents in your life just the same way? I remember being at one of my brothers houses for a Labor Day picnic. I got into a discussion with him about CSCO(I was the bear). Next thing I knew I had two other brothers and my father tag teaming against me. I walked out of the kitchen away from them and my last words, verbatim were. "Mark my words CSCO will see $10 before it sees $60 again, if ever."- still hasn't hit $10 yet. I also remember with the same vividness December 31, '98 in my cousins home office at a New Year's party, the same brother told me I was pathetically stupid when I told him YHOO would double in market cap before EOY '99. And that earnings and valuation didn't mean a damn thing in the current environment.
