With a spreadsheet and a few minutes a month, it would be easy to track any number of portfolios in a newsletter. Do you honestly think that would be too difficult for Bob to do?

Besides, I'm not talking about 27 different funds, I'm talking about his single largest bet ever in what is essentially a sector fund. If it wasn't so extraordinary both in its delivery and its insistence, it wouldn't be that big an issue. If Brinker had simply included the Rydex fund in his list of funds who would care?

It's the 50% of cash reserves and the special bulletin that has caused all of the trouble. That kind of certainty deserves to be tracked.

On top of that Brinker can't even be bothered to properly track his own model portfolios accurately. I don't think he cares about what happens to the portfolios of his customers as long as his own portfolio isn't negatively affected.

Public relations and image spin 100. Actual record 10.
