When I recall how Chambers reassured everybody about CSCO in late November 2000, and then about two weeks later warned that they would not make their quarterly numbers, I don't know how he can have any credibility left.

Almost 2 years later and John Chambers is still President and CEO of Cisco and a billionaire.

Perhaps we should all lose our credibility and suffer so.:)

I'm with you. I think if you are holding on to cash, you'll get a good opportunity to buy this Sept and Oct. I'm betting that we see the lows again in the next 2 months. Like the article, I think that consumer spending is wavering and real estate is about to deflate. It's all part of the process. Anyway, I'm going to put my sideline cash into the market this Sept and Oct, if I see we slide to the lows again (if DOW = 8,000). Good luck!
