Getting up close and personal with whales is an awesome experience. It's hard to imagine harpooning one after having gotten close enough to do so. It seems to me like shooting a panda--utterly unthinkable.

I'm aware that those providing access to wild animals all over the world can be cavalier about intruding on the critters in order to provide a good experience for their clients. I imagine it's a hard line to walk between respecting the animals and satisfying the clients.
