Back to baseball. People have only so many $$ to spend on entertainment and baseball no longer entertains. The player's union hasn't figured that out yet.

I've just been watching some NASCAR. Cars that have Tide, Kellogs, UPS and such on the hood. Sammy Sosa may say to wear Nike shoes and maybe 20% of his fans will buy them. Jeff Gordon #24 race car says drink Pepsi and 80% of his fans will. Amazing but NASCAR has the loyalist following.

Think back to around '96 when the Super Bowl was played in the dome in New Orleans. Feds said they'd get fined if the Marlboro banner showed up during a punt. It was taken down. That year and every year after that Winston Cup racing was on TV almost every weekend during the year.
