And well you shouldn't ... There has been tremendous consolidation in US
IC manufacturing. Many companies (Lucent, Rockwell/Conexant, HP, Motorolo, AMD, ...)
now are outsourcing a significant portion of their IC manufacturing.
These companies were all once members of Sematech trying to further US
manufacturing. Now TSMC is a member ... How things can change. You should
be "paranoid" ... No ones job is safe.
