stupidity is not dishonest. what is more generous?? It's a judgement call.

An aside. There is the logic of actions and the logic if ideas. I look at actions to guide me in thinking about ideas.

Many believe or have the idea or faith that Our Lord is the Son of God. From that all actions of Our Lord can be coupled with the ideas he preached.

Individually all must strive to forgive in their hearts the acts of others, Our Lord preached this and always acted in this way. But expressing anger, outrage and direct action against those engaged in evil is not wrong and does not contrary to forgiving all in our hearts.

An Idea taught by Our Lord is that all must render to God what is God's and to the state, the human state that which is the state's. Our Lord never preached against the punishments rendered by a state.

Would Our Lord participate in an act the was intrinsically evil or wrong. Was the act of Capitol Punishment used and in fact required to save man's soul.

Just some musings.
