Dan, AMD behind BAPCO attack: From Tomshardware:

“The sad AMD/BAPCo tragedy is currently winning momentum and everybody wants to be part of it. In the end, AMD will lose its reputation, BAPCo won't have its image of a reliable benchmark provider anymore and nobody whatsoever will have gained. I'm sorry all you wannabe AMD-defenders. Sysmark 2002 is NOT another Watergate.”

What a ridiculous state of affairs! You can be sure that Tom is in for huge AMDroid vengeance.

Dan, I never considered SuperPI to be a real useful benchmark, and I won't even if Pentium 4 now beats Athlon in it. To me, it is a highly specialized benchmark that only stresses a few parts of the CPU (not many parts as you like to think) and is only useful to those who calculate 3.14159... all day.

I'm sure you'll start seeing things my way as P4 continues leading in SuperPI. Just like you AMDroids started seeing things my way about XBox and its irrelevance to processor sales and the game console market.
