I will institute a total ban on eating anything that comes from the sea ...

Surely not sea veggies? Wakame and hijiki and dulse. Say it isn't so.

Although I have always liked the taste of lobster, after learning much more about them (they love to eat dead stuff drifting down to the briny depths) I no longer like to eat them (I've never been interested in trying out fried vulture either). I have come to feel the same way about the filter feeders, including the scallop, which I formerly enjoyed. Filtering, is on a par with hoovering, and I don't eat vacuum cleaners, or their filters, nor I think will I eat the vacuum cleaners of the deep.

I will be happy to be your campaign spokesperson on this issue. My mother sends me clippings on the mercury content of tuna CONSTANTLY (as well as the mercury content in other large pellagic fish in whose tissues the metal tends to concentrate), I think she is afraid I am going to poison her grandchildren. I believe I have also received clippings on the disgusting contaminants in bottom dwellers like sole. She has also sent me clippings on dreadful things that can happen to sushi eaters- despite the fact that I keep telling her we only eat VEGETARIAN sushi. Further, I could pass on to your land animal point people, several horrible articles on pig farming, chicken farming, veal production and turkey farms, all courtesy of my dear mother.

Actually, I was celebrating -- I dislike seafood, too.
