For some reason I feel un-reassured.

Taking problems that are in reality complex "down to simpler levels where they can be dealt with" appears to risk ignoring some of the (complex) realities in favor of a cartoon of them; and sometimes reality is more important than a resolute facial expression.

At least it is my fear whenever I hear the president struggle to create a sentence that someday, somehow, it will be.

"His mind is fine. He takes complicated problems down to simpler levels

"Complicated" problems are simple??! Are any problems truly complicated, then? Are all problems uncomplicated? Is there such a thing as a problem which is complicated, and which yet must still be addressed on a complicated (tranlate....high I.Q.) level??

Or may all profound problems be transfered to the lowest idiot? (this is totally unrelated to Bush and Company...it is related only to the implications of your comments as regards all political party parties).

Is complicated a silly thing? Are all things capable of a simple mind??
