herb, I just finished reading the editorial in its entirety, and I am very surprised. I'll never think of Tom in the same way again, and that is a very positive thing. He has earned my respect by showing integrity in journalism that extends beyond the desire to sensationalize stories, and capitalize on scandal. Ethics in journalistic has had a downward trend towards tabloid writing, after the advent of the Information Superhighway. Everyone and their grandmother wants to profit from getting the news first, and taking the quick and easy route towards fame. Tom is right in rebuking the media for this, and in particular scum like Van Smith. His editorial is recommended reading for anyone fed up with this kind of garbage. wbmw
