The INTC lost market cap is certainly painful for the stockholders. As is the market cap lost by most publicly held companies - take a look at the NAS, the S&P, the DJIA, the Russell etc.

OTOH the continuing losses being suffered by AMD the corporation only make me wonder why they think they can ever make a decent profit going against the lowest cost manufacturer who has the determination and the resources to continue to outspend them forever. Reminds me of the USA vs the USSR and we know what happened there, don't we? Or did you forget?

What AMD needs is a profitable niche to survive.

You spend enough time on the AMD thread to know that many folks there care more about the failures of Intel than the successes of AMD. I won't name the names. But I've never seen you criticizing those folks for their lack of judgement.

This well organized PR attack by AMD is pretty amazing. It looks like a desperate act by a desperate company.
