The 525i - stands for 5 series, 2.5 Liter fuel injected engine.

So this was not a good answer as to what the AMD ratings stand for

It's a model number[QuantiHurtz]. Like BMW 525i.

Please Josef, we're not stupid and neither are you. You mean to say that AMD just coincidently picked a "model number" that made it convenient for customers to accidentally misinterpret it for MHz? There was no intent on AMD's part to create a implied correlation? It was all just a coincidence?

You're not Jerry Sanders and we expect better from you.
