Bill,

I think it is a bad idea for CPU vendors to develop benchmarks for testing CPUs. Rather than have AMD join, I think Intel should be booted, and the silelnt (in the name only) other members should step up, and be joined by software vendors, maybe computer magazines. I think Microsoft should have a benchmark to test their software (Windows + Office), Linux guys should develop some of their benchmarks.
