"License Now Includes Infrastructure Equipment for All CDMA Standards -; - Subscriber License Covers Subscriber Units for UMTS (WCDMA) Standards"

The implication is that Siemens is licensed for TD-SCDMA infrastructure, whether thay like it or not. <g>

But regarding subscriber license, TD-SCDMA is not UMTSwCDMA. They're all under the ITU IMT2000 umbrella, but TD-SCDMA is not under a UMTSwCDMA umbrella.

Do Q IP attorneys feel confident that Siemens is sufficiently "pregnant" with infrastructure that they can bludgeon a subscriber license out of Siemens in the unlikely event that the standard evolves?

Does the language allow Siemens to save face? Does it inspire new hope for waning TD-SCDMA in China or Germany?
