OK, but managed trees can be any age you set as the objective. If that's 150, which is not at all uncommon, you're getting close to the attributes of old growth. I don't think you can say for a fact that most of the decay I write about is from small twigs and branches. I have enough data to be able to tell you the biomass by each of seven different vertical structure layers for 24 million acres in central and southeast Alaska. It would take some time to analyze, and right now it's all I can do to keep up with the trees.
