Awwww gee, Mike, any street corner conspiracist can tell you that since the government believes "terrorists" are shorting the market, that justifies government cheerleading and lying about economic data in order to defeat the diabolical plans of the evildoers.

Now, aside from the reality that street corner conspiracists can afford to have such views because they don't have a 401(k) to protect, I actually like this explanation -- it's very Tom Clancy, don't you think? LOL

its not rocket science to understand the gov has always under reported inflation numbers also..not exactly in their best interest as fed, state and local gov jobs have cost of living increases let alone all the social programs eh?
