Point taken - did not intend to imply your opinion was childish. My point is that 'that was then, this is now'. If we are to evaluate our worst moments and apply moral equivalencies to todays actions then the Chinese are all Mongols, the Germans are still Nazi's and Stalinists rule Russia. However, in the ME most of the participants 'worst moments in history' are not during the Crusades, the 13th Century or even WW2 - they are hapenning now.

If we let ourselves think that way - 'anything goes' because it assumes we are all evil. So why shouldn't we just nuke them, take the oil fields and convert all of them to Christianity? (Apologies to Ann Coulter :-)

Because we aren't like them (anymore at least).
