but what's the "no return" level for you. If you mean, what is the level we could go to here and still then go to new highs in the Dow to finish this leg, then I'll repeat: no low under today's.

Seems to me this could help some bulls fool themselves into excessive happiness, (on the theory that XAU and everything else have "returned" to their "proper" inverse relationship). If the bulls get too happy, and the bears get too scared, it seems to me we are looking at two things happening: 1. The overly happy bulls are setting themselves up to become bag holders when this thing reverses into a quick, distributive top; 2. The overly frightened bears are setting themselves up to be &itch-slapped when the indexes reverse up quickly, thus sending XAU tanking, and then %itch-slapped some more when the top blows off and the indexes tank-zilla. Not sure if this makes sense, because I'm running on about 50,000 mg of caffeine at the moment, but if what I wrote comports with what I'm thinking, then I think I'm describing evidence that AA's favored, (i.e., skrew everybody at once), scenario is unfolding. On the other hand, I could be hallucinating.
