As for Keller's being passed over, I think we know that from the New Yorker piece. Do you know it from any other source?

Kaus

It wasn't clear whether Keller had Todd Purdum in his sights or Raines. I assumed Purdum. But you could easily be right.

There were two front page pieces that mischaracterized Kissinger as a dove, and Purdum only wrote the first one, as I recall.

" Well Barbara Amiel does own the Jerusalem Post. "...

Thought you might be interested in a little background info. regarding Barbara Amiel and her husband Conrad Black.

For the record: Being Canadian,I've read numerous writings of B.A. over the years, with the Conservative side of me finding her refreshing at times, out to lunch at others, bombastic on occasion, but almost always interesting.

Remember, she was the one that got the attention about the French Minister referring to Israel as " A $h1tty little country " etc.. some time back.

To note : Henry K. attends her parties. <GGG>

These are links in no particular order and may shed some light on where her thoughts are.Others a critique of her work and prominence/eminence. F.Y.I. Enjoy! :
