or, perhaps they aren't expensed because it's a way of inflating their earnings. This makes it very convenient when one wants to sell their stock, don't you think.

Companies are giving LEAP Calls(essentially), instead of stock, as an incentive pay package. That form of pay is not being expensed. Clearly, if they were giving stock they would need to expense that, yes?

If you don't agree with the last sentence, there is no need to continue.
