It was quite visible to me a long time before that. The first shot across our bow was in Iran, under Carter. And certainly the first WTC attack a decade ago should have dispelled any illusions of homeland invulnerability, if Iran didn't.

So.... how many countries do we get to attack before we call it even-stevens?

This admin had Iraq on its agenda before 9-11 and got blindsided by a buncha guys who weren't Iraqis. Of course, it's mere coincidence that Iraqi crude is about the most prized in the world....
