I have not seen any published statement attributed to him which addresses the subject. The fact that the only link you supply is to his Flarion webpage bio would suggest that you know of no such statement either. But perhaps he has, and it would be great if you could link it. I nave never understood Flarion's success to depend upon OFDM's success as a mobile technology. And indeed, I have always understood your view to be that mobile wireless was a pathetic joke and that the future was in fixed wireless networks such as WiFi where OFDM is integral. Whether or not you are right about the mobile part, I do believe fixed will be important as well, and hopefully a quick solution to the last mile problem. Therefore, I don't necessarily view Dr. V's affiliation with Flarion as itself an endorsement by him of OFDM for mobile. But if that is indeed his view, then I would consider it to be extremely significant. I did not post Gilder's comments to suggest that it should be the last word in the debate, but rather that it be the first. And while its no secret what I hope the ultimate answer will be, I am in the undecided, curious minds want to know more category. I do wish our technologists of all opinions would come forward to add their view to the discussion. There has been some more info on the subject posted on the Gilder thread. I will try to obtain permission to publish it here to share it for what it is worth. I am also actively seeking commentary on the subject. Whatever I find I will link it.
