First off, I don't think Bush nor Rice nor Cheney, the president, are in a position to decide who's evil. They may feel they are but I am perfectly able to make that call for myself. Do you think they are less perfectly able to make that call for themselves Tim, I have know idea........I don't know them at all. or do you feel that it is wrong for them to try to convince people that their opinion in this area is correct? What I consider inappropriate is that they are convinced that he is evil and that the rest of us need to get and pronto simply on their word. If you want to convince me he's evil, you better come up with a good argument. And frankly, I'm not sure Saddam is evil. I think bin Laden is; I think the guy who killed those two OR girls is; I think Pat Buchanan might be. As for Saddam, I think he's an *sshole, a control freak and dangerous. Do I think he's evil.......I would need more information to make that determination. Why do you think Sadam is more dangerous than say Pakistan's Mussereff? He has been more aggressive, and more hostile to the US and its interests. He is also more abusive of people inside his country (not the Mussereff is a boy scout but he is just a more normal dictator in that way not a particularly odious one), but that particular fact doesn't necessarily mean he is more dangerous to the outside world. How has Saddam been hostile to the US? Granted there's no love lost and he's been a problem in the region. OTOH Pakistan does have nukes all ready and also has more people so if Mussereff (sp?) made himself the enemy of the US as much as Saddam has made himself an enemy then Pakistan would be very dangerous. I would not be surprised if that were to happen in the next ten years. Right now, he is busy consolidating his power in Pakistan and so he doesn't need to take us on. Plus, the Taliban and religious fundamentalists worry him and now a lot of the Taliban are in Pakistan. Fortunately, he is well hated and may be gone in ten years. But I bet they said the same thing about Saddam when he came to power. ted
