Uniroyal, the city of Boston, Columbus, Akron. These are the great polluters. The 19th century industrial growth and free waste dumping philosophy polluted the rivers of America like the Cuyahoga, Hudson and the Ohio. The pollution of the 19th century in the US and England was worse than it is today. The rivers are starring to come back with stricter regs. But there is still a long way to go. Down the blue river of regret.

I'll show you extremist tripe. Eastern idiot greenies protecting our western forests KILL our forests & in turn destroy our life, wild life, & our amount & quality of water(can we say micro-climates)!

As you act as though you know EVERYTHING about the forests you would protect, why have you said NOT A SINGLE WORD about the massive stands of dead pines across the Rocky Mountain west caused by blister rust? Why do you object so strongly to removal of this standing FUEL & the dead & dying individuals which further spread the disease and endanger all life - that of humans, wildlife, & the forest?

How the HELL dare you claim love for that whose DESTRUCTION you promote but have never or seldom seen and know nothing about? Are you even aware that the dangerous levels of heavy metals in may western streams did NOT come about through mining but are rather NATURALLY OCCURRING? Cleaning of these streams would be nothing less than DESTRUCTION of all that is natural!

Learn something or better yet spend more than a single day in the western mountains then come back. I live in these dead trees of Colorado. How many hours have you spent replanting anything to those mountain areas stripped bare by flame? The fires at least have done a single good thing, their extreme temperatures have sterilized the soil killing areas of disease but with it any hopes of a quick forest revival!

Fellow Coloradans currently can only pray against the coming mud slides - there is no other defense. Where will you be for the further replanting & resulting erosion fighting & cleanups - from what will you next protect us? How good is all this erosion for the quality of the streams & rivers of the high country & those below?

Why don't you value our natural resources? I'll give you this, yes, man caused this problem, he imported diseased soft woods from socialist green Scandinavia.

Nothing is more dangerous than a well meaning than an ill informed liberal hypocrite.
