well, i got a phone call about 2 hours after we got home and he asked how i was and i said "i hate being back". does that tell it? august is a good month up there. didn't do any crabbing, but did learn how to dig for razor clams. well, actually, they told me how but i never did get the knack and wound up with both arms stuck in the sand up to my armpits - but, managed to snag a few in spite of my ineptness. saw a black bear with her cubs. did you know that the qci have the biggest black bears in north america? very humbling. the vistas always overwhelmed me and i was very jealous of those folk who had managed to make the move and where living there full time. they smile a lot. it was good. rosita
