That is exactly what Baker and Schwartkopf warned against. Going to war without the support of the country and the world (and support of the country will follow the pattern in the rest of the world) is a formula for catastrophe.

The catastrophes I mentioned were caused by going to war without the support of the president, NOT that of the nation or world.

I am unimpressed with the arguments of Hagel or Scowcroft, and others. I think Kissinger has it right; I think Baker has it right, and so far as I can tell, they're not in disagreement with Bush.
