Glenn: I wanted a couple of books and decided to try the free shipping deal at amzn. During the buying process free shipping was promoted but not directly offered == you have to "choose" free shipping -- it comes with some drawbacks like waiting for two weeks before things get shipped. When I went to the check out I was going to have to pay a lot for shipping a small order -- and this was just for "regular" shipping. I decided not to buy because of the poor quality of the shopping process -- I actually do want the books in question. I did not like being messed with and ending up with slow service and a very high shipping fee in relation to the value of the purchase. I think this is a bait and switch tactic that will turn people off and lose them customers (or at least not do anything to gain customers).

In addition to issuing new shares to pay down debt, won't they also at some point have to issue new equity to fund ongoing operations?

Heck they might need to do a secondary just to pay for this free shipping thing!!
