Der Geschäftsklimaindex des ifo Instituts sank in Westdeutschland von 89,9 Punkten im Vormonat auf 88,8 Punkte. Damit signalisiere der Indikator, dass der Aufschwung zumindest vorübergehend unterbrochen sein könnte, teilte das Wirtschaftsforschungsinstitut am Mittwoch in München mit. Von der Nachrichtenagentur AFX befragte Volkswirte hatten im Durchschnitt mit einem Rückgang auf 89,5 Punkte gerechnet. Der Rückgang resultiert den Angaben zufolge vor allem aus der ungünstigeren Einschätzung der Perspektiven für die nächsten sechs Monate. Der Indikator sank von 102,4 auf 100,8 Punkte. Aber auch die Urteile zur gegenwärtigen Geschäftslage fielen etwas schlechter aus. Der Indikator ging hier von 77,9 auf 77,3 Punkte zurück. Zur Eintrübung des Geschäftsklimas hätten wie schon im Juli vor allem die ungünstigeren Meldungen aus dem Verarbeitenden Gewerbe beigetragen. Im Bauhauptgewerbe sei der Klimaindikator dagegen unverändert geblieben. Im Einzel- und Großhandel sei das Geschäftsklima nach der leichten Erholung im Vormonat wieder auf den Stand von Juni zurückgefallen. Auch in Ostdeutschland hat sich das Geschäftsklima eingetrübt.
