I put militant Islam in the same category as the KKK, neo-nazis, skinheads, and the like. We tolerate a lot of those loony-tunes running around loose, in, say, Montana and Idaho. I hope the FBI is keeping an eye on them, but if they don't break any laws, let them preach their message of hatred as much as they want. It's good for us to hear them so we know where they are coming from.

The test for free speech in America can be summed up as the "clear and present danger" test. Does the speech present a clear and present danger that violence will ensue as a result? If so, it is prohibited. If not, it is permitted.

Boy, that is a liberty that I would deeply regret losing. It's one of my favorites.
