I'll try to get hold of these books - thanks! It seems this not so private fight between George Senior and 'Junior' - the new Frankestein - is being played out right now. Baker in the Op Ed piece in the NY Times and yesterday Cheyney for the hawks. The hawks want to create the impression that invasion of Iraq is absolutely essential and completely inevitable - and to browbeat Congress into giving it's support with the Elections coming up and all. Interesting that a mere V-P can wield such weight? What will the bumbler do eventually one wonders? Macho macho time. But is he big enough to become a statesman?
