I say we should assume this latest run was yet another bear market rally. The old assumptions about Q3-02 had expectations that were too high and are now being ratcheted down substantially. Overall, the fundamentals of the US economy are improving but at a very slow pace. The bull run took a very long time to come to an end and the bear should do the same. It will be very stubborn and it will continue to frustrate those who get too ambitious, too soon. I think we need to stick to the concept of buying only when the market presents a "gift" and refrain from buying into short term runs. To error on the side of caution in a bear market is a wise approach, imo.
