If anyone is keeping track, the one-year figures in the indexes are downright ugly now: Dow off -15%, SP500 -21% and NASDAQ -29%. The YTD numbers aren't much better at -12%, -19% and -31%. The daily frustration of today's aimless markets overshadows the importance of long-term results sometimes. Remember it's not how much you made or lost this week or this month, it's what you make and KEEP over time that matters. Too many traders get hot and crow and shout, then get whacked a few weeks later and end up flat or even down from where they started.
