The COMPX intra-day charts just generate a buy signal. I don't expect more than a weak bounce though given the coming holiday. A close here generates a sell signal on the daily charts also.

See everyone in 4 weeks. I am final off on my Route 66 trip.

September has traditionally been a brutal month overall for longs as tax loss selling for the funds occur. Look for a rally the first day or so after the long weekend as the holiday effect kicks in in the light of lack of news.
After that the market will be driven by the employment and economic reports.

The rest of the month will be driven by earnings pre-warnings. Given some of the early reporting, indications are consumer demand is moderating. Except for a seasonal uptick in stocks such as MAT and the E-gamers, the only other area of strength should be biotech as the fall conferences where trial results are reported start.

I try to check in from time to time to see how the markets are progressing via my compuserve account.

Have fun.
