Something wrong with a system where IF you get caught your only punishment is giving back your illgotten gains. Too bad the government didn't move on some of these bad boys earlier, but since we were all flying high the government officials might have been fired or defeated at election. Now it is a win-win situation for them. Everyone knows something stinks now and the government is free, politically, to move against the bad boys and instead of being blamed for being too lax they can now claim credit for cleaning up the mess. And pick up a bunch of money in fines!! Meanwhile a lot of citizens have seen their retirement disappear. Shortly we will probably hear politicians claim they cleaned-up the mess....yeah, a little late.
