I'm in "new job" mode. I've got a lead on a great new position. My current job is less than challenging...but I believe that it's better to have a job than not at this point. The new job will probably limit my trading abilities more than this one, but the pay will be remarkably better (not to mention more interesting).

I know if I did trade full time, I'd likely be broke LOL. As it is, I only focus on a few select situations and take small gains. I don't know if I could be as successful if it were a full time gig.
Well, of course I don't. You never know til you try.....

You've got tenure as well, don't you?

Well, that's good enough reason to stay on the job.

The thing is, I just love my job too much!

That's what I did. As long as it was fun and challenging, I didn't want to leave it. But, when I had to have major surgery last March, I had 6 days in the hospital to exam how I really felt about it. It was then I realized the job was every bit as challenging as ever, but it was no longer even close to being fun. I retired two months later and I love this!
