Eric, WCDMA 2007 sales are estimated to be around 62 mio (11 % of 576 mio units sold) in this very informative report.

Forgoing for a moment to question the foundations for these long term forecasts, would that not raise serious issues, if true:

1. Would carriers be interested in investing massively in 3G before 2006 for just 11 % of the handset market (and 6.3 % of the subscriber base)?

2. Do you think that QCOM's P/E is justified based on this forecast ?

3. Would this kind of forecast not be a very good argument for carriers to persuade European governments not to mandate any 3G technology in the spectrum originally auctioned for 3G ?

4. Would it not even be in Nokia's interest NOT to have to invest in a technology with such a small market share?

Sorry for being so persistent in asking loaded (and by no means original) questions.
