*OT* In most sports in other countries....its a given that a few "sports clubs" (from the major cities) are going to dominate team sports (bigger stadia, merchandising, etc. for soccer, basketball). One of the most aggegious (sp?) examples maybe in Scottish football/soccer where the 2 Glasgow clubs have won the championship something like 18 of last 20 years and play to crowd of 40k+ a game while the rest of the league averages 5-10k (and even less at times). Really feast (for a few) or famine.

Kind of funny how "eglitarian/socialist" the American sports fan/structure appears compared to our European breathern.......especially given how us Yanks are not considered by them as cultural eglitarian (sports IS culture, right?)
