Thanks, snopes.com looks like a great site. Lots of room for improvement in all those cases by the look of it (including dropping the false cases). Re McDonalds, I would have thought after 50 or so scaldings, even if the decision was to keep the coffee at 190 degrees, some sort of clear warning could have been stamped on the cup, for example. However, even the jury agreed that some of the fault was on the side of the victim. Maybe "risk assessment" should be introduced to everyone in primary school, with re-certifications thoughout life. Maybe even stop a stock crash or two as well-g-
